We are looking for an assistant art teacher to help conduct the classes that we offer at my Oam Studios located in Pleasanton Ca.

 

Hours of Operation tend to be from 3:00 – 9;00pm; Monday, Thursday, Friday. Also from 11:00am – 6:00pm; Saturday & Sunday.

 

This position will offer limited hours at first. Candidate with availability on fridays & weekends is prioritized.

 

More work hours and opportunities will be offered to employee after the 3 month probational period is complete and after showing strong dedication and dependability.

  • STUDYING OR STUDIED TO BE AN ARTIST OR ART TEACHER AT A COLLEGE OR COMMUNITY COLLEGE
  • WILLING TO PROVIDE A RESUMÉ
  • PRESENT A PORTFOLIO OF YOUR WORKS. MINIMUM OF 20 PIECES
  • STUDY OUR CURRICULUM
  • NEED VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE & VEHICLE
  • CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE IS NICE BUT NOT NECESSARY
  • WILL NEED TO PROVIDE 3 PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PREPARATION OF THE STUDIO FOR CLASSES
  • MAINTAIN AND SUPERVISE THE ORDER, PREPARATION, AND CLEANLINESS OF THE MATERIALS AND THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT WITH THE STUDIO ARTIST
  • SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONSTRUCTIVE AND SUPPORTIVE PARENT RELATIONS TO FACILITATE THEIR SENSE OF SECURITY AND TRUST IN THE SCHOOL
  • ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SAFETY AND PHYSICAL WELL BEING OF THE CHILDREN PLACED IN THEIR CARE
  • GIVE GUIDANCE TO STUDENTS ON THEIR PROJECTS
  • BE MOTIVATED TO WORK WITH CHILDREN OF ALL AGES
  • EVENTUALLY HANDLE CLASSES ON THEIR OWN
